Funny how they want to make an American version of BBC’s Sherlock when we’ve already made one…

It’s called “Psych.” Think about it; the characters and story line are different, yes, but:

  • It’s two men, Shawn and Gus, that live together solving crimes [like Sherlock and John]
  • The main character, Shawn, has the same method of “deduction” as Mr. Holmes [He doesn’t know, he notices]
  • Shawn and Gus don’t actually work for the local police station, he’s just so brilliant at what he does, they constantly ask for his help
  • There’s a member of the police force, Carlton, that doesn’t like Shawn [much like Sherlock and Anderson]

The only things that are extremely different is:

  • Shawn actually experiences feelings for a woman
  • It’s a comedy (Shawn doesn’t take anything seriously)

So there, there’s no need for another “American Sherlock;” we’ve already made one.

Happy Dance because I’ve think I’m the first to notice this?
